Hi, Pavel. I'm still slowly debugging. I wish I had an HDMI analysis tool that reads and copies EDID. Maybe I'll have to buy one because I cannot say 100% for sure, but based on behavior, it seems that in the EDID editor in firmware version 5.1, Vanity Pro is NOT putting out the 3840 resolution. My Apple TV still thinks the TV it's connected to is a 1920 x 1080 device. Can you pleaby bobkatz - VanityPRO

The new matrix switcher solved the stability problems with the Vanity Pro. I know you say that the symptoms were strange, but since the new matrix switcher is working fine, my informal diagnosis thby bobkatz - VanityPRO
I just bought this. It's a professional grade matrix switcher. Hopefully it's stable enough for the Vanity to stay locked.by bobkatz - VanityPRO
Hi, Pavel. I'm so glad you are diligently improving the Vanity Pro. I did not align and set up my multichannel monitoring system until this past week, I've been too busy! So it's been at least a year with the Vanity sitting and waiting to be used. I did successfully upgrade the firmware. I could never see the STM device in Device manager. All right! I discovered that the Vanity Pro defaults to produce an EDID of 1080P on its Video input if it has no video output. My request is for the Vanity Pro to have some EDID choices in its menu so it can produce the correct EDID with the attached block diagram. Here's a link to my block diagram: Block Diagram Further notes: Now to explain. It all starts with wanting to send 4kby bobkatz - VanityPRO
The promising thing is an Apple Computer. I have a MacPro that I have to keep on an older operating system so I can't check it yet, but I have plans to purchase a new Mac just for the purpose of playing multichannel. There's a decoder in the Apple TV App on MacOS! he Apple TV app requires macOS Catalina 10.15, macOS Big Sur 11.0, macOS Monterey 12.0, or later. Note: Mojave is 10.14.by bobkatz - VanityPRO
Dear Pavel: It's nice to hear from you directly. Oh, I see why I thought the meters were not in color.... the level was very low, almost nonexistent, during a dialog segment that I was looking at and so the green color was not that obvious with only a few segments showing. I'll have to wait for a higher level to see the other colors. I found a way to at least be able to listen to Neby bobkatz - VanityPRO
I purchased my Vanity Pro as soon as I heard about it in Stereophile Magazine! Wonderful product for professionals who want to audition audio surround material into the same DACs that we use to produce our productions. I am an audio mastering engineer. I notice that the audio meters are white on black in my unit but the manual pictures them as being in color. It's not a big deal, but isby bobkatz - VanityPRO
