Would it be possible to design a board with HDMI in and regular HDMI out? I am asking could the VanityPro be used to "clean up" the HDMI signal before inputting the into a surround processor? Or does converting back to HDMI recreate the problem that you have fixed?by Karl W. - VanityPRO
"Bit Stream: Selects whether support for bitstream audio formats is enabled or disabled. Available settings are ON and OFF. Unless the VanityPRO is connected to a downstream bitstream decoder, this parameter should be set to OFF." How would this function be used if it were turned to "on?" Would the downstream decoder work in conjunction with the VanityPRo? I am confused aby Karl W. - VanityPRO
Bob your are right! I received a new HDMI cable that I testing for another company. It solved all my issues. Everything is working perfectly.by Karl W. - VanityPRO

I am using the 3840X2160p at 60Hz, and 7.1 out to get my set up with Roon and Dirac Live working properly. Windows after configuration, Dirac Live and Roon now see the VanityPro as an eight-channel device. The EDID editor works well.by Karl W. - VanityPRO
I downloaded new firmware. Now the VantityPro works perfectly with both Roon and Dirac Live without the need for an external HDMI EDID editor. Great job. I sold the Hdfury device.by Karl W. - VanityPRO
WOW! That's great!by Karl W. - VanityPRO
Thanks for responding. Without the device, and editing the EDID, I am unable to get Dirac, and Roon to work with the VanityPro. Another company suggested that it was the EDID of your device that was the likely culprit. However, I was able to make everything work properly with Roon and Jriver with the Vanitypro without the need to use the Hdfury device. I tried for several hours to make everythby Karl W. - VanityPRO
Doing multi-channel with a PC is a bit tricky because if you have just the Vanity Pro and a typical PC set-up with monitor, Windows may only allow a 2.0 configuration. The problem is that Windows is reading the EDID of your monitor and detecting it as only stereo which prevents configuring Windows and Dirac for 7.1. To change this, you will need the Hdfury Dr. HDMI, either version to edit the tranby Karl W. - VanityPRO
I don't have that device. I have contacted HD Fury as to which is the best device to purchase and will purchase one shortly. The problem that I have is that when I try to use Dirac Live, with the Vanity pro, Dirac sees the audio capabilities of the sink device. So when I have the Vanity Pro connected to my PC and then to my monitor, Dirac sees the audio capabilities of that monitor. Thatby Karl W. - VanityPRO
If it does not, use this . There is also an 8k version available for pre-order. Even if the VanityPro can pass DV,it’s only a matter of time before there is some new video spec that is unsupported, such is the case with HDMI.by Karl W. - VanityPRO
Great news. I'll send you an email. I'd love to try.by Karl W. - VanityPRO

There are a few settings to adjust for the Vanity Pro to work with Roon. You have to go under Audio settings and adjust the buffer to 50ms. Also the resync buffer needs to be set to 50ms under the advanced settings, otherwise I got pops with my dacs. Finally select 7.1 also under advanced setting and name the driver Vanity Pro. I have an Asus Hero XIII mother board. I chose Asus products becaby Karl W. - VanityPRO

Ok. Firmware successfully updated!by Karl W. - VanityPRO
HDCP doesn't seem relevant for audio. I have the Vanity Pro working well with Roon Labs and Jriver. Sound quality is superb.by Karl W. - VanityPRO
The Vanity Pro requires two USB C connections for power. Some single linear power supplies have dual USB C outputs. Should you use separate power supplies for each side for isolation or is one supply that can power both sides OK?by Karl W. - VanityPRO
I will be using Jriver and it's driver to output audio. Also, I found that if you use an ASUS GPU as your HDMI output, all sample rates your device outputs can be transmitted. I have encountered these issues before and using the ASUS GPU solved the issue. Thanks.by Karl W. - VanityPRO
I am currently using a Lynx AES16e PC card for multi-channel digital out into 3 external dacs. This approach is limited to XLR connections, and I'd like to use BNC. Switching to your product would allow me to use BNC connections. I use Dirac live in my HTPC. I would like to output multi-channel LPCM after it has been processed with Dirac over HDMI into your device. Does hte device have anyby Karl W. - VanityPRO

It makes sense to me because you would then have the Vanity board feed by the linear power supply of the Oppo. Then there would be less need for something like Dr. Lee's power supply.by Karl W. - Vanity (discontinued)

Any plans to suppor this player? Any clue if Oppo has changed the lay-out requring a new board?by Karl W. - Vanity93HD & Lite (discontinued)
Could I still input HDMI into my processor so that I could use it's dacs for center, subs, and surrounds while using the Vanity board to feed my outboard dac. The outboard dac would cover the front two channels while the pre-pro played the other channels. Would this work or would there be issues with delays in sound?by Karl W. - Vanity93HD & Lite (discontinued)
